I have been going to the Grog shop for quite a while, since I was just a wee lil' punk rocker, and even though I have grown into an adult consumer of all the goods I used to detest, i still feel at home at the Grog Shop. The Grog Shop is a great for young and old, rockers and emo, new bands, up and coming, and tribute, it is a smaller venue, but with great sound and atmosphere. As I have traveled and attended many other venues, it is actually the Grog Shop atmosphere that is the standard from which I compare other venues. There is always something worth hearing at the Grog Shop. It also helps that the part of town that it is in is a completely unique atmosphere, allowing for a person to feel safe late at night, but still having enough businesses around it to still allow alternatives to fill the void that a bad concert may create!!!

One of the better places to catch the latest up and coming acts. You can see many bands here that will later make it to much larger venues. Great atmosphere, nice selection of beers, ticket prices remain very affordable. The history contained in this place alone is amazing. If you are looking to catch a great show, great sound, and a great vibe this is a must. The only downside of the Grog is the start times. I fully understand why they start shows so late as to keep folks at the bar drinking, but sometimes I just don't go to the weekday shows anymore knowing I will be out until 2:00am. So for someone that doesn't mind getting a few zzzz's before getting up for work the next day you might want to stick to the weekend shows. Other than that it is one of the best places to see a live show in Cleveland.

Grog Shop is a small concert pavillion for independent acts... it's a great way for fans to get small, intimate concerts with their favorite act or breaking new artists to get exposure. The interior look is cool and optimized so the sound quality is great - regardless of where you are, the sound is amplified and you get an awesome concert experience. I love how they book new artists to check out and then some better-known acts, like Bright Eyes. I've been to some great concerts here.
