Patrons walk through the equivalent of an impressive wine cellar to get to the large-yet-cozy room that houses the bar and surrounding tables. The décor is warm and wood-filled, with a hint of natural light making its way through the front windows and the low glow of lamps making up the difference. Hip CDs are played at a volume conducive to chatting; live music is on weekend nights. You can get a great specialty whiskey or an English beer, but those in the know come for the flights--three, 3-ounce tasting portions of red or white wines.
