The House of Swing serves up top shelf jazz along with each dram, pour, and pop. This small bar plays host to the big, bopping sound of live jazz at least four nights a week. When the drum kit ain't tappin' out a swing beat and the horns are quiet, the music goes on--the bartenders pull from a collection of 15,000 jazz records and yes, they take requests.
A Regal Scene That Sways
Should your date be late, you'll have plenty to keep you occupied: almost every surface is plastered with memorabilia and while jazz is the means and the predominant form of expression, the d¿cor takes a turn toward the eclectic. Home to avid regulars, the crowd is often tight, a mix of types and ages. This is one house where the music aficionado will feel at home.

There aren't many places left in the world like the House of Swing... a true, neighborhood hangout where the music is the main attraction. It's small. In fact, it's tiny, compared to other music venues in Cleveland. You could easily fit 10 House of Swings inside the cavernous echo chamber of Fat Fish Blue, for instance. But many of the same bands that play Fat Fish for a fat cover and high drink prices also play the House of Swing... why? If you don't know yet, then you're not IN the know... check out the HOS this weekend and see (and hear) for yourself.
