Completely ruined my hair.. I have long curly hair with long layers. I asked the stylist to take 1 inch off. When I got home, I found that she had taken 4-5 inches off of the top layer in one area in the back but nicely left the bottom layer at the length I wanted it. She has completely ruined my hair and I will now have to get 4-5 inches cut off everywhere to even remotely get to a haircut that doesn't look like a 3rd grader cut it. Unless you have stick straight hair that requires absolutely no experience or technique to cut, don't even bother going here unless you too want to sport a nice 1 inch haircut too!

Not good at all!. The reservation people are seriously unable to make appointments with any kind of accuracy. Never has my appointment been on time - as in more than an hour off. Mostly I walk in to find that the appointment has been cancelled or nonexistent despite the fact that I received a confirmation call just the day before. Then they'll bold face lie and say that they've been trying to call to cancel. HELLO - caller ID has been around for a long time. I just love driving up and down Mayfield for no apparent reason. If you're a busy person or actually have a life, find a salon that values your time and knows how to make and KEEP your appointment.

The place is a DUMP. They have NO idea how to pamper a customer, all they care about is getting you in and out, they rush the massage and just don't care. I will never go back again, NO one should go to this dump.

THE ABC'S OF JOHN ROBERT'S; AWESOME ATMOSPHERE, BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, COURTEOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE.. This place is the absolute bomb. I implicitly trust my stylist (Sandy) with my life; I mean my hair. In fact, I often mention that I am only renting on the top of my head what she actually owns. An extremely courteous staff where everyone and I do mean everyone greets you with a smile and warm hello. Calls placed from a professional callsite staff reminding you the day before your scheduled appointments. And at the time of your visit you are greeted in a warm and friendly manner to experience what John Robert's refers to as inclusive service. 1. SCALP MASSAGE, 2. SHAMPOO, 3. CONDITIONER, 4. MINI-FACIAL, OR MAKEUP TOUCHUP FOR THE LADIES, 4. BLOWDRY-STYLE, 5. HAND AND LOWER ARM MASSAGE, 6 LOOKING GOOD AND FEELING GREAT, all for only forty dollars. That's right, forty dollars (AWESOME BABY). LOOKING AND FEELING LIKE A MILLION BUCKS WITHOUT PAYING A MILLION BUCKS. PRICELESS. Go ahead, now run to the location nearest you. I'll see you, because I am there every week getting my fashion on!!!

Find somewhere more affordable with better, more personalized service. Their service does not live up to their prices. The stylist I had been going to (I won't mention her name) was very immature and would carry on "high school type" conversations with other stylists about salon gossip. She could hardly hold the scissors in her hands and didn't seem to have the experience and training the salon brags about. I gave her about 5 or 6 chances and just could not deal with it any longer.

There is obviously a large disconnect between management & staff. How do I know? If the managers were actually THERE and paying ATTENTION, half this stuff would not happen. The fluff chicks at the front counter would actually be doing their jobs (instead of thinking about their oranage tans) and customer service would be the PRIORITY.

best spa server MISSY. I went to John Roberts Protege salon on Chagrin Blvd. and received a massage and wax service from Missy Young. She is so personable and very compforting! She is thorough and detail oriented. I am very picky about my services and she exceeded my expectations on so many levels. She is a hard worker and someone that i strongly reccommend if you are looking for a great relaxing spa service. She does them all, waxing, facials and massages!

Protege. I had a great experience getting a facial and leg wax at Protege. I have had facials before and have never had a relaxing experience till Missy. She was stupendous better than an anti-depressant!. The leg wax wasn't quite as relaxing but she made it as pain free as possible and was very fast and thorough. I would definitely go there again.

Best Salon/Spa. This is a wonderful Salon/Spa. I have always been treated well and love the staff, both hair and spa. Beautiful atmosphere and very client focused. Love the Aveda touches like the hand and arm massage. They really want you to look your best and consult one another with questions, i.e. a new color for highlights. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone!

I will never go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I was extremely disappointed in this salon. They make you feel right at home your first visit and they service got significantly worse every other time!!!!!!! With all the other great salons in the area I will NEVER go back to this place. Get them in take there money and get them out was there motto.
