Great Music. I came down on a Tuesday night to see a Big Band play and I was amazed at the crowd that came out for a weeknight! It was a diverse crowd, a cozy venue and the music--band, acoustics--was great. We danced to many of the songs although space was tight--at some times during the evening people danced outside, and eventually some of the tables were moved to allow for more dancing space. The dance floor that was available was of good quality, but most of it was taken up by the band although this was likely a special case since the band was a 19-piece! Despite the lack of room people got so energized by the music that people found a way to dance, especially to the more popular songs.

Blues among the minivans.. The Scene
The Savannah should be on everyone's short list of great music stops. Located in Westlake in a nondescript strip mall, Savannah caters to a packed house all week. The club caters to a diverse, casual crowd, from 20-somethings to retirees, as live live bands (cover, swing, blues) rock out Tuesdays through Saturdays.

The Draw
There's a decent-sized menu heavy on simple, standard bar fare. Wings, mussels and a variety of fried numbers make up the appetizer list. Dinners consist of pasta and fish dishes, ribs and a couple chicken entrees, as well as sandwiches. To drink, there's Crooked River, Honey Brown and Western Reserve on tap, along with roughly 20 others (domestic and imports) bottled.

Great night of music. We went to the SBG for the first time to hear a blues band that was playing. At first we were a little disappointed in the atmosphere. It is located in a strip mall and it has that feel inside. However once the music and dancing started the disappointment quickly went away. The crowd had a nice mix of some college students up to seniors with the majority of the people in their 30's and 40's. We plan to go back again and try the food as well as the music.
