BEST PEOPLE PLACE. Food and service at this family owned establishment can rival any casual dining restaurant in existance. But what makes it stand out from the rest is found in the people that frequent their table and bar weekly. Time tested and proved by its regular patrons. But don't mind being the Newbee, the Mahle's will make you feel like you have been dining with them for years.

A small, family-run Italian-ish restaurant and bar with decent prices, without pretense.. The Scene
Ten to 15 tables sit in a large, family-style dining room surrounded by simple décor; pictures of Cleveland adorn the walls, small potted plants and trees cover the floor. The bar, discreetly located in the back of the dining room, is simple and friendly. Lots of regulars frequent both the bar and the restaurant, and the owners do their best to make everyone feel welcome.

The Food
There's nothing wholly remarkable about any of the dishes at Mahle's, but there's little to complain about, either. The menu runs the gamut, from traditional Italian dishes like pasta primavera and chicken parmesan, to more American offerings such as steak and fresh lobster tail. Surprisingly well done is the spaghetti with marinara sauce, and the broiled lemon-pepper walleye is also memorable. The "House Special," a steak fried with fresh veggies and topped with a mushroom sauce, has been known to be a bit overcooked; the filet may be served a bit too red to be medium. Appetizers include a delicious spinach-artichoke dip, and an incredible cherry-covered cheesecake tops the dessert list.
