great decor, not romantic as the name would suggest. our 7pm reservation was seated promptly and the atmosphere was beautiful!! However not romantic as the place was so noisy and the table separated us so much we were yelling!! Our special of the day bone in steak was juicy...asked to be done medium the juices were the red dripping from the steak filling my plate and had to literally saw through the thing with my knife...at 80.00 for 2 (1 cocktail a piece) will not be returning!!!
Word among steak lovers on both sides of the Cuyahoga is this is one bloody good find..
The Scene
There's nothing else like this rustic, carnivore overload in the posh suburb of Westlake. Casual chompers may cringe at the menu's colossal collection of cow, but this tiny steak legend has to think big to impress its Cohiba-toking, sport-ute-driving clientele. As fancy as the cars may be, the Cabin Club (which sports an authentic cabin-ish exterior) dates back to the days when countryside, not Camarys, rolled through Westlake.
The Food
The porterhouse is as thick as your fist, and the plates aren't big enough for the table-lapping center-cut rib-eyes. Grilled-to-order Jurassic-size portions, sided with a football of a baked potato, play well in a room full of very tanned men in Polo shirts and designer sportcoats.
Ms..
The Cabin club has the best steak in Cleveland.
Their black and blue is the best.
I also must add that I was never a seafood consumer until I ate a New Zealand lobster there.
Fabulous!!!!
The service was incredible.
Tasty and loud.
The food was tasty and the service was great.
The only problem was the noise level was loud.
Cabin Club ROCKS!. I had the best experience at this resteraunt even though my date sucked! If you want a excellent steak, then this is the place to go. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, excellent service too! While there check out the house salad dressing, which is a honey mustard. I've never tasted anything like it and I don't even like honey mustard. Crab Cakes were good too! Prices were a little high, but it was well worth it!
great food, poor conversation. Great food, however the noise level, even on weekday nights is unbearable. A meal, per person, once you tack on all the extras they subtly get you to add, can easily be $40-50. For this price, you deserve to eat somewhere where you can hear your dinner companions talk. I have eaten there 5 times in the last year, and the experience has always been the same. Sunday at 5:00 was a little better, but by the end of our meal it was still hard to hear.
