Over the past five years I have visited Wrigley field, PNC park, Great american ballpark, and Turner Field. Honestly out of all of these only Wrigley Field could top Jacobs Field, and that is onley due to atmosphere. Nothing compares to Wrigley in that aspect. BUT....... visitors to Cleveland and Jacobs field wil find themselves having a good experience at the "Jake". Ticket prices are very reasonable. Parking cost down town for events is very high, but if a visitor inquires about the Rapid Transit , one can get to and from downtown for only six bucks. In my opinion, the bleachers are the best. Very affordable and a great view of the action. Food is just about the same as it is in any park, but the all-beef hot dogs w/ cleveland's famous stadium mustard is a must!! It sounds silly , but its the best mustard on earth! A tourist can buy a bottle of thier own at a local cleveland grocery store. There is plenty of bars and restaraunts near the jake for pre-game activity.. All the Jake needs now is a world championship banner ! GO TRIBE

Pros: plenty of bars near by for pre-game activities, fast commuting on city highways

Cons: plenty of parking , but high prices

I live in Cleveland and have attended games at Jacob's Field several times. I sat in a variety of seats, including the nose-bleed section, the bleachers, and right behind home plate. No matter where you sit you have a great view of the field, and if you have the opportunity to head to the field on fireworks night, get seats in Section 102. They view of the game and the fireworks is INCREDIBLE. One note: for those having trouble parking, try parking at Tower City. Special event parking is only $6 -- ALL DAY -- and there is an indoor/outdoor walkway straight to Jacob's Field. Plus you can grab food or do some shopping before or after the game. GO TRIBE !!!

Pros: Great seats, fabulous fireworks shows, and a WONDERFUL atmosphere -- best fans around!

Cons: Concessions can be expensive -- I stick to nachos on the cold days, and frozen lemonade on the warm days!

After going to games at both stadiums in Chicago and Miller Park in Milwaukee, The Jake is the best. If you're rooting for the home team, it can be exciting anywhere you are within the stadium. There's not one bad seat in the house, and one of the greatest attractions is John Adams out in the left field bleachers pounding on the bass drum whenever an Indians player is either in scoring position or anyone on base after the 7th inning. The left field bleachers are a throwback, and having the largest scoreboard in North America just add to the stadium. GO TRIBE!

Pros: Seating, views of the field and the new memorial out in center field

Cons: Parking

If you get a chance to rent one the D suites, by all means go for it. The suite brings you to field level. You can smell the grass and hear the players talking in the dugout.

The Jake is great! They are a young, exciting team. I've been to 30+ games, never in the same seat and have never seen a bad seat. There are a ton of bars just outside the gates (a 2 minute walk). Most of the best clubs and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away in the Warehouse District.

As new parks go, this is one of the better ones. Good sightlines, not too many distractions, decent concessions, and a well kept, beautiful green grass carpet. The only problem is that the price charged is a bit steep.

Pros: Good sightlines, ample parking

Cons: expensive

Having been at the Ballpark at Arlington, Baltimore, Seattle's new field, etc., I can honestly say that Jacob's Field has them all beat for getting close to the game and for ambience. A great addition to a great City!!!!

I may be just a tad biased, but when I go to a new city the first thing I want to see is the baseball stadium. Why should that be any different in Cleveland? Good food, good entertainment=a good time!

Home of the Indians baseball team, the Jake has the hottest seats in town.  See the full editorial review.
