We just wanted to have a picnic and enjoy the day> We swam and laided in the sun and had lunch. It was nice and watch different people as they were also enjoying the park.
Thank you for keeping it clean and safe.
- Pros: it waws very clean and easy to locate picnic areas
- Cons: to many steps to the beach but that is okay also
As recently as the mid-1990s, Huntington Beach was the secret, sandy jewel of the affluent West Side.

The Skinny
An automatic excursion for families in the Bay, Westlake and Rocky River communities, Huntington Beach exists as a near-mythical setting for sun-baked East Side boys, encouraged to journey west by tantalizing stories of a small beach in Bay overrun by legions of rich teenage girls.
The Scene
The beach sits low on Lake Erie, and is linked to the rest of the Metroparks Huntington Reservation by steep steps that run up to an attractive wooded area, perfect for short hikes and relaxing, romantic strolls. There are sheltered picnic areas and shady scenic overlooks, great for when the UV rays finally break up your sun worshiping. West Side "wheelers" like the fact that the recreational area connects with the Bay Village Bike Trail.
Visitation to state-park beaches has dropped 20 percent over the past five years, and Huntington seems to have lost a little luster itself. But an intimate setting and prevailing family vibe keeps this shorestop at the top of the area's beaches.

Great place to come, relax and people watch. Don't forget to stop at Honey Hut for the best ice cream around. They also have pizza, nachos...Enjoy the gorgeous view!
