A great doctor

by sillysally39

I don't see how anyone can think this man is anything but a great doctor. When I needed a psychiatrist he was highly recommended by the people at the hospital I was at. He has helped me regain my life and I will forever be grateful. I don't mind waiting for my appointment because I know that he is helping whoever he is with and cares about all his patients and their needs. The staff in the office are always professional and as nice as can be. It's sad to see a few negative people spread their hate mongering all over the internet just to feel make themselves feel better about their own insufficiancies.

  • Pros: Caring and compassionate
  • Cons: none

Ranjan Worsened My Condition

by DaisyFlowers

Ranjan, from the start seemed like a fake. I saw him NUMEROUS times over a few years due to being forced by my mother when I was younger. He asks questions, and doesn't listen to your response. You tell him you feel worse, better or the same, he ups your dose. DRASTICALLY. I saw him once a week, and every week he upped my dose of my original meds, and added something new. As a fourteen year old girl, this caused me to go from trouble teen to psychotic violent nut. He hospitalized me for two and a half weeks for asking him politely not to discuss my not even recent self mutilation in front of my 4 year old sister who looked up to me very much, because the fact that I CALMLY walked out of the room meant that I was "unstable and impulsive". While in the hospital, where he happened to work...I disclosed my sexual abuse story for the first time in my life...He tells me, very angrily mind you, that two people played a part, I wanted it and couldn't blame anyone else, and that I was just confused and had sexual urges because I was an attractive young lady. WTF! Then...I wasn't allowed to contact my mother for three days due to her hindering the healing process (his words), when a week prior he stated that my mother should be more actively involved.

So pretty much I went from, as I said a troubled teen, to a panic disorder-stricken, manic mess, who couldn't sleep because I felt like my skin was crawling, my legs twitched, and had constant extreme nausea, confusion and migraines due to being over-medicated. So thanks Dr. Ranjan, hope I helped you get yourself a new car and Rolex. Luckily, I'm 20 now, and for the most part, I'm normal :)

  • Pros: I'm better now that I've been out of his care :)
  • Cons: Everything.

Best doctor in treating mental disorders

by pop23

Hi,

I have been with Dr. Ranjan for quite a long time. Please dont write anything that is not true here. One thing is true is he takes up personal calls when he is with patients. I do accept that but on a whole is a very good doctor and he treats patients so nicely and we all like him so much. So dont try to make any lies here in this page to defame him. He has respect and sincerity in his work.Thank you

people need to think more clearly when judging a mental health doctor

by sherryberry83

being any kind of doctor is not a easy job. but a mental health doctor probably is one of the hardest ones there is. when a person has a mental illness a doctor can not cure them at best they can find a medication to control their symptoms. some of the reviews are written by people who at best are still experiencing mental symptoms that make things in the more extreme mode that what they really are. i have been to dr. ranjans office on and off for four years now. yes. he does take personal calls when he is in the middle of an apointment but he was born and raised in another country and that might be what is acceptable to do in his culture. but on the other hand maybe he just does it because he has an overbooked schedule. the waiting time has varied from a short period to a long period but that happens at quite of few doctors offices too to be fair. everyone has to remember he is human too and nobody is perfect. as for the female part of the staff of course it is going to SEEM like he is fireing more females because most of his staff are females. also it COULD be that he treats females differently because he is from india and that if i am correct is how their culture acts. but i am a female and he never treated me differently. he was allways professional to me. i WOULD recommend him to go to.

  • Pros: he IS professional, he does research studies which comes in handy when you dont have medical insurance, he had many offices
  • Cons: he doesnt have anger management classes that i know of that maybe some people who made some of these reviews need. lol!

Get A Life

by ThanksForCaring

Dr. Ranjan and his staff, have done more to help his patients and the entire community, more than anyone else. It makes me sick to see the nasty lies that have been published here about Dr. Ranjan. Some people are so bored and so messed up, that they will say anything to get attention. Thank God that people are to smart to believe the trash. Those who lie about Dr. Ranjan need to get a life. Just because you are a failure in your personal life, you should not be jealous and try to make Dr. Ranjan look bad. For those who don't like Dr. Ranjan.....get a life!!!!! Tens of thousands have been helped by Dr. Ranjan and we will expose the liars for what they are!!!!!!!!! You liars may want to self destruct, but don't try to stop Dr. Ranjan from helping other people. Even Jesus had people that tried to destroy him....but the truth will prevail!

  • Pros: Dr. Ranjan and his team
  • Cons: People who lie about good doctors!

EqualTime

We receive literally hundreds of positive comments per week for Dr. Ranjan. We are posting only a few!

When I was twelve years old I started having severe mood swings. If I got stressed, depressed or uncontrollable I would cut my arms. In my twenties when the anorexia took over I stopped cutting. When I was 27 and my oldest son was four I was admitted into the hospital because my weight had dropped to 78 lbs. I hope that if there are any of you who struggle with anorexia, you don?t think 78 lbs. is admirable. I couldn?t even get down the steps to fix my son breakfast. After my hospital stay the anorexia got better but I never let my weight get above 100 lbs. After that I really started to lose it. The mood swings got worse and I started cutting again. There was a couple times I tried to hurt myself and many times I came close to trying. One of those times I came very close to succeeding and ended up in intensive care. I hadn?t been diagnosed with bipolar yet and I don?t understand why not when all the symptoms were there. One of those symptoms is sleepless nights. Of course, I felt that if I couldn?t sleep, my husband shouldn?t either. So I kept him awake all night with my raging and threats of suicide. The poor man had to work in the morning. From the time of marriage even until a couple years ago I had many hospital stays. About four or five years ago I had to get new insurance. Then a little while later I became suicidal and had to be hospitalized. Since I did not have the same insurance they could not send me to the usual hospital so they sent me to Marymount.

I believe Dr. Ranjan and his staff are wonderful. When you go into his office everyone is so kind to you and calls you by your first name. If you have had many diagnosis in your life and can not seem to find the right treatment plan, you should give Dr. Ranjan?s office a call.

  • Pros: Awsome doctor and staff!!!!!!!!

Condecending Rude Disprespectful Inconsiderate Moneyhungry all Ways to describe Dr. Ranjan PT 2

by fyi7777

Sitting in the waiting room and talking to other patients and visitors of the office, I am not the only one that feels this way. Countless people agree with me and are disgusted by Dr. Ranjan. I have noticed the deragatory comments he has made to women and how he belittles them. Not only is he like that to his employees but to patients as well. I too, like the other comment on this board stated, was in an appointment with him with one of my clients when not once but 2 times he totally stopped the appointment to take personal phone calls! The one time he was on the phone for several minutes and when I tried to say something, he put his hand up to me and looked away. I couldn't belive it!

On one of my visits to his office I was talking with another patient of his in the waiting room and told her what happened, and she said he has done it to her as well and treated her with very little respect, and just talked down to her. I asked why she still continues to come here, and she said he is the only one in the area that her insurance covers. Which is true of many of the patients I deal with that thier only option is to go to his office. Thats sad, they have to continue to be treated horribly because there is no where else to go.

A word of advice to Dr. Ranjan's staff. Get out fast! You should not be treated like this. When his practice goes down, and it eventually will, you do not want to be associated with him.

And to Dr. Ranjan: You will never find out who I am, but be careful how you are acting. I visit your offices alot and have other co-workers that do. And we have all seen things. We will be keeping an eye on you. This is your chance to change, and evaluate yourself, rather than others for a change. If we do not see improvement we will take further actions. Next time you feel like treating someone at your office with disrespect; LOOK AROUND, because chances are someone is watching you.

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Dr. Ranjan owns the practice

He's Losing His Cleveland Offices, And He Is Being Investigated.

by f_hinkle

AVOID HIM AND, IF HE HURTS YOU, TURN HIM INTO THE MEDICAL BOARD. I did, and what the others don't want you to know is that the charge I filed against him will be kept on his record permanently. And he's under investigation AGAIN.

It looks like his unethical behavior has finally caught up with him. I'm laughing and angry with the people who said nice things about him. Some of these people are probably the ones that I turned in when I turned Ranjan in, and/or do not know what is about to be done to him. Apparently he's "forgotten" to pay the rent on his cleveland offices--seriously, folks, how can you forget to pay the rent?--, and he will be shutting down.

"GET A LIFE," AND THE REST WHO LEFT POSITIVE FEEDBACK: You should be ashamed of yourselves. Do you think that both my horrors with him and his employees, in addition to all the others lives he's destroyed, are lies? Do you think his other victims are making this up? I think not. WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE GET A LIFE!? I'LL TELL THE TRUTH, AND YOU WON'T STOP ME, NOR WILL YOU STOP THE OTHER VICTIMS FROM TELLING THE TRUTH.

TO RANJAN'S PATIENTS: I am sorry for what he and/or his employees have done to you. I am just another former patient who took action. If you feel you have been wronged, you have that right to turn him into the medical board. Don't take this from him, nor from his abusive employees. I wouldn't waste any time if I were you. His Cleveland offices are closing and, though I doubt he'll skip town, I wouldn't put it past him. TURN HIM IN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

TO RANJAN'S EMPLOYEES: So, you wish to go down with his sinking ship, do you?? If so, you deserve whatever you've got coming to you.

TO "MR. RANJAN": How does it feel to have to pay for what you've done? HOW DOES IT FEEL? You may beat this upcoming investigation or the next, but you will eventually go down.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MONSTER!

  • Pros: HE'S GOIN' DOWN!
  • Cons: He still has a medical license.

I would give zero stars if I could

by reubenhubert

I had the most unpleasant experience of my life in his Medina office.

My appointment was 3:30 but I wasn't called in till 5:30.

The assistant started asking questions but didn't explain the jargon. I'm a guy so I don't ask for directions, I just make the best of things. When the questions came around to my medications she askes about meds I never heard of and became angry that I wasn't taking them...then she saw that she had the wrong chart and she got madder at me.

The next thing i know Ranjan (I can't think of him as Dr.) came in, asked 1 question, then began yelling at me!

I was scared and confused and because of my not understasnding what the heck he was talking about I ended up in the psych. ward for 3 days. And he doubled the prescription that my physician had just upped 6 days earlier.

He never got anything straight about my problem. I told him what was bothering me and he told me that I was wrong. I guess he knew me better than I knew myself.

After the hospital stay i was afraid to not keep my appointment with him that week.

While in the room he asked a few questions and stopped me in mid-word to take a personal phone call !!!!!!

He insisted that I see him and one of his counselors instead of the one I had been seeing.

He told me that I would be better off with a male counselor.

(Brief aside...my physician is a woman, and the 2 counselors I had been seeing are women)

He also told me that my marriage was my problem, not my job or money problems.

What's funny is that in the hospital I was listed as being allergic to DOGS and cats, I told him I was allergic to GRASS and cats.

I'm glad i found another psychiatrist to see because frankly I wouldn't even let him work with lab animals, let alone human patients.

AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS.

The doubled meds he prescribed put me in the emergency room.

  • Pros: Close to my home
  • Cons: Impersonal care, not compassionate at all, arrogant, chauvanistic
