My wife and I just returned from our first (and last) visit to Fire. I might as well have eaten a box of salt for supper. Everything on my plate was salty; I had the pork chop. Even my wife thought her rice was a little salty (she had the cod.) I told our waitress, and she gave an explanation of soaking the meat in brine. I question why there would be even more salty bits of pork added to the vegtables. The waitress did indicate she would bring something else; but I was quite turned off by the pork. They should have shown more concern over my complaint. (She didn't even offer to adjust the bill.) Overall let's face it... we go to a restaurant to eat. It's easy to overlook some things, but the food needs to be exceptional! My mother-in-law can make things salty! Cam
Pros: Funky, Hip
Cons: Bad Value, Food

I recently went to Fire and had a great meal. I was lucky enough to talk to the chef and get a personal recommendation. From apetizers to dessert, the food was great. Our hostess was great and we were seated right on time (with a reservation). Our waiter was always there when we needed him. We loved the atmosphere so much, we went back the next night for drinks at the bar. Well done!
Pros: Food, Wine, Waitstaff
Cons: N/A

Fire's great reviews have packed the house so make sure you you call for reservations a fews weeks ahead of time. A HOT TIP. If it's a beautiful day you may be able to call in that day since they do not book the patio ahead and you may get to sit on the new Shaker Square, flowers galore on a first come basis. The hottest seller is the crispy duck. Get a pizza for $8:00 as an appetiser and its enough for four. Try the T-Bone veal or the Salmon. The chocolate, banana bread pudding is to die for.
Pros: Great taste., good selection, patio
Cons: res. weeks ahead.
