Yawn!
by baythoben at Citysearch
The Pho is average. This place is an attempt to dress up Vietnamese food. The service is excellent and there is a bar available. The food however is medicore at best. The vegetables are scant and not always the freshest. It is also a bit pricey.
- Pros: Ambiance is nice
- Cons: food leaves quite a bit to be desired
Too spicy? Try Number One Pho!
by TrevorGoodchild at Citysearch
Number One Pho is as bland and unauthentic as the Asian world Muzak that loops in the background at this Midtown/Chinatown eatery. If you have ever called an Italian restaurant to complain that the pizza is too crispy or the meatballs are too spicy, then Number One Pho is for you!
I heard the owners/staff speaking Vietnamese in the background so I know that they know authentic Vietnamese food. They are just going after the “Gets heartburn from tomato sauce crowd”. If you love Whole Foods buffet, this place will rock your taste buds!
Watching it decline over the years.... won't go back now.

We love Asian food of all kinds and are, what I would say, not very fussy. The food doesn't have to be fabulous for us to go back to a place, and the service can be just average. Over the years, Number One Pho has been on a decline. The other night was the last straw. The spices in the meals were not palatible, the chicken was so tough it was hard to eat, my water had something floating in it, the service was down right lousy - the waiter wouldn't come back to the table to refill our drinks, one of the side plates was not clean... Uggh. To top it off, both of our stomachs were not feeling well afterward. It is a shame because it used to be so yummy there.
- Pros: Pretty inexpensive
- Cons: Bad neighborhood, very bad accustics, poor service, food does not taste good there anymore
Good enough for a pho fix
by KananRoad at Citysearch
I've been pretty spoiled by excellent and inexpensive pho in L.A. and Chicago, so I balk at the $8-$9 pho prices here. Still, you get all the stuff you should get at a good pho restaurant: fresh basil and bean sprouts, noodles cooked just right, and hot sauce on the side. The broken rice and long rice dishes are quite good so far. In terms of taste, my one complaint is that the broth doesn't quite measure up to the stuff I remember from L.A. and Chicago.
- Pros: pretty good food
- Cons: not quite as good as stuff I find in other cities, and slightly more expensive
Not the best... at all.

I'm not sure if anyone else who reviewed this place is Vietnamese, but their pho is horrible. I've been here twice now and each time the pho was sweet as if they added sugar or something. The meat was not edible. It reminded me of fatty tacos I had in Mexico. I definitely recommend trying pho in Vietnam, and then going over to Superior Pho where you can get the closest thing to home. Fresh.
Best Pho in Cleveland Bar None

Not sure what this other guy is smoking.....
The pho here is better than any other I have tried. Have sampled many other menu items and have never been disappointed. Especially good are the broken rice dishes.
Service is excellent, prices are great. Eat here about once a week.
