Great Soups, Great Thai

by vla1030 at Citysearch

I visit Cleveland four times a year and stay for a couple of weeks for vacation. I order Mint Cafe take-out, or sometimes eat in pretty much every other day for my vacation. I love their Seafood Coconut Soup and especially their curries. For those of us who hate Tofu, but are veggies they don't make you get tofu dishes. They always have different flavors of bubble tea that are amazing. They are very accomodating and seem to be doing very well because it is usually busy when I pick up my order.

I Crave Their Food

by cupcake77777 at Citysearch

Great food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere all describe Mint Cafe. I usually have the Salmon Choo Chee, and the sauce is creamy and spicy. Great smoothies. If you have a large appetite, the entrees may not be large enough for a dinner.

You'll love this place - ambiance and food

by skacleve at Citysearch

A chef from Lemon Grass opened the Mint Cafe in Coventry, which has become one of our favorite places to eat and take guests. Parking is plentiful in the garage and lot a half-block up the street, or on the residential side streets. There are similarities with Lemon Grass in some of the dishes, especially the saucy ones, but there are others that are different. The food is always good, and it's nice to have some less- or non-saucy dishes to choose from (I get so tired of the excessive sauces at Thai restaurants). The service is very friendly, especially the owners and one of the waiters who like to talk and joke. The fried rice is a little too sweet for my tastes, but still good. The sweet Thai tea is lovely. The space is cozy, which can result in a short line of people waiting for tables, but it's worth the wait. The owners have opened another restaurant in the Beachwood/Woodmere area in 2007, which I believe is called Peppermint. Haven't been there yet, but will soon.

  • Pros: Great food, great service, pleasant ambiance, plenty of parking
  • Cons: Can't think of any, except wish there was more seating
