I have worked in retail and the fashion industry for years, and therefore hate the typical retail experience...I know what they are saying, why, and that its a sales pitch. Mas boutique is walking distance from my house, and I wandered in a few weeks after its opening after eating across the street at Millie's, expecting to be accosted by overzealous sales associates. I ended up spending at least an hour hanging out, talking, sipping on an afternoon glass of pinot grigio with the owner, Shannon. It was by far the most refreshing experience I have ever had in a store. Nothing but genuine love and intuition of clothing and people - and zero pressure. She and her partner will treat you like a friend, not a bag of money. Thanks ladies.
Pros: Rare finds, especially when you have a last minute event and don't have time or energy to drive to the west side.
Cons: I want to stay and hang out all day but have to leave at some point

Really nice, designer stuff that you won't find anywhere else. Cute puppy running around too. And hot girls / guys everywhere...
Pros: Nice stuff that I've never seen before! In the time of Urban Outfitters, who wants to wear what everyone else is?
Cons: Not enough money to buy one of each.

I was shopping with my girlfriend and holy cow they hooked her up. She is smoking and the staff made her break out of her shell. Now I can't stop looking at my woman. Prices were cheaper than I thought and quality was there.
Pros: Very helpful staff
Cons: The only con would be that she wants to go there again and spend more money

I live in Orange County, but heard about the boutique through a friend:-) I've been there twice now. The clothes are unique. You can buy something there and be sure that no one else will be wearing it. The owner, Shannon, was very helpful. If you're trying something on, and she doesn't think it is the best style/fit for you, she will let you know. I really appreciate that.
Pros: Good service and selection
Cons: None I can think of

MAS is basically a Barney's style boutique, except more in tune with my style, and scaled down, which means almost no sifting through things I'd never wear. I found it while driving back from a late lunch last week, and I feel like I've found a place just for me. It's definitely a place to go when you want something cool, but don't want to walk down the street only to see 20 other people wearing it. They carry very hip brands, and are pretty high fashion. The prices aren't too bad either, considering it IS a boutique.
Pros: Great threads

I was excited to see some of my favorite brands, like mason, j brand, corpus and cassette... my boyfriend (who is totally dedicated to specific labels) was instantly sold when he found out they have endovanera... which is really hard to find... and he liked that they carry a lot of local brands. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.
