Chris Como and Potpourri are the best :)
by hschnitzer
This is the most fantastic restaurant, and we miss is tremendously ever since we moved away from Northeast ohio. Our family has been coming here since Chris first opened the restaurant (several generations of our family), and Chris and his family always treated us like family. My daughter grew up thinking of Potpourri as a second home, and Chris has always been like a part of our family.
His food is fantastic, and as a person Chris is second to none. This is a restaurant, and a total experience, you will not want to miss, and will want to enjoy often. Thanks Chris for many, many wonderful years of memories. ~~Heidi and Gretal Schnitzer~~~
By the time you leave, you'll feel like a member of some bizarre fondue family.

In Short
Nestled in the middle of a tiny Mentor strip mall, wood paneling and stained-glass lamps enclose about 40 tables and booths (made from former church pews), where cozy diners dip and sizzle. The four-course fondue dinner for two begins with melted cheese and ends with melted chocolate. For those who don't fondue, half the menu is dedicated to non-fondue options, from a traditional veal marsala to a surprisingly delicious rotini primavera with chicken.
- Pros: fondue for two
Intimate and memorable

Go with a full wallet and leave with a full stomach and a smile. Very classy and romantic but not "fancy." It is reminiscent of a French chalet - rather dark with lots of wooden finishings. Good for a leisurely business lunch, meeting old friends or family, or a special night with the wife. There are lots of great dipping sauces, and the service was excellent. Definitely a worthwhile experience.
- Pros: ambience, fun experience, tasty food
- Cons: pricey, for for vegetarians
still the best fondue in cleveland !!!!!

after a recent visit to the potpourri,I was thrilled that although ownership had changed for the first time in 27 years, the service and food were still top notch. A review was long coming for this destination spot. especially after reading a recent review about having to cook your own food and pay high prices. First of all a trip to potpourri fondues only competition in legacy would find that reviewer still cooking her own food but for 15 to25 dollars more per person. Stick with the original fondue ,Potpourri!!!!
Too expensive to be cooking my own food!

This was my first fondue experience. I didn't realize that fondue meant I would be cooking my own food in a little pot filled with oil situated in the middle of the table. So that you aren't as suprised as I am, I will help to set an expectation. This restaurant is a very warm and romantic. The decor reminds me of the 70's. Wooden furniture and paneling, etc. There are NO FREE REFILLS on the soft drinks. The waitress was very nice and attentive. She taught us how to cook our food and directed us to entrees that would give us the full experience. The meat and vegetables came to our table raw in small portions. The meat needed to be seasoned a little better. For the cheese/fruit/bread appetizer, steak/shrimp/scallop/chicken meal for two the check was over $50.
- Pros: fun, season your own food, adventure in dining
- Cons: no refills on drinks, antiquated decor, expensive
Love it!

I love this place. The owner and staff are always so pleasant. They make you feel at home in this cozy romantic place. I've had the different types of fundue meals as well as their wonderful chocolate fondue. I enjoy them all. This is a great place to sit back, open a bottle of wine, enjoy the romantic setting and relax.
- Pros: ambience, service
