breakfast selection is diverse, something for everyone excellent pancakes, lots of varieties to choose from such as chocolate and peanut butter chip, lemon and ricotta, blueberry, the list goes on the wait to be seated can get long- up to 30 minutes- at certain times, particularly Sunday mornings, and there is not much room to wait inside. there is seating to wait outside, and the hostess will check for you outside as well when they are ready to seat you.
Pros: food
Cons: the wait to be seated

As a twenty-four year old girl I am looking for a breakfast place where my friends and I can sit around and have a chat, recounting memories from the night before. To my great displeasure both times I have tried to Inn on coventry the waist staff is cold and rude. The waitress the first time was hasty and grunting and the second time was condescending when she charged our table for something she shouldn't have. While we were finishing our meal our check was presented to us and we continued to chat and drink our coffee. I guess we took to long with this process because an older woman who I think may be the owner came over and said "so is everything all set here ladies" in a rude and huffing manner. I replied "alright we're leaving" and she replied angrily as she was walking away "THanks" in another hufflike gesture. Now I also must explain my friends and I are normal girls we are not rude, we say our pleases and thank yous. Paying decent money for what I will say is average food I DO NOT expect to be treated as if i should feel guilty for finishing my coffee and laughing with friends. The place is way to used to busy crowds and forgot about treating a customer right and personally I believe they need to learn that lesson again. I would say skip the Inn on Coventry It's not that good and they are very unwelcoming.
Pros: i heard the eggs benedict and pancakes are good
Cons: every member of the staff is miserable and rude

We went to the Inn for breakfast on my birthday with high hopes after reading reviews and ratings. The menu looks good and it was not very crowded because it was a late morning on a weekday so we were getting ready for a nice breakfast treat. Unfortunately things began to unravel fast. First, my fiancee noticed some unknown foreign object in the hot water for her tea. I immediately offered her mine, but lo and behold mine was dirty as well. Then we received our breakfast. I was really excited a the novelty of having a pancake with peanut butter and chocolate, and I have to say it was pretty tasty, but I soon noticed that there was a used, open butter packet with protective seal folded in and complete with fork rakes in it sitting right on top of my pancakes. I actually considered continuing to eat it (what a sicko huh?) but then I realized that the used butter had probably been through a couple sets of hands at least before settling on my pancake - and it made me think that maybe there's some recycling going on (health code violation perchance?); I'm all about being green and all, but not with food products, especially those nestled on my breakfast. My fiancee had scrambled things...it consisted of rubbery eggs and potatoes not thoroughly cooked. Needless to say, she wasn't impressed and I think even less so after the experience with the cleanliness issues. We were quite disappointed and will never go back.
Pros: Neighborhood
Cons: Cleanliness

For a Saturday or Sunday morning, the breakfast/brunch experience isn't great. The place has no parking. You stand outside or in the cold for 45 minutes (my average), wait about the same amount of time for the waitstaff to fill your orders as other people bump into your chair and step on your coat with its close quarters. The table and chair sometimes wobble, cleanliness is only fair, no caring waitress as they run around taking care of the busy place. Unlike other restaurants that I've reviewed, the Inn does have a few delicious dishes like Lemon Ricotta pancakes and Eggs benedict/mando. Unfortunately you really have to concentrate on the food cause that's all there is. Just when you think you're done with the meal and ready to head out, you have to wait another 20 minutes to pay your bill unless you have exact change and the checkout person allows you to cut the line, as she slowly work her dial-up credit card machine from the 1980's. If your time isn't worth money, you've found the right place. As a place that is long established in a college area with low prices, as well as one of the very few breakfast place around, the Inn has a strong foothold with young customers who had no choice, and now continues their patronage. Unfortunately due to that, they have became greedy and complacent as they herd customers around and does not update the place with changing times/demand. I think a Sunday breakfast at home or at any other breakfast place (like Pancake house and others) would prove to be a nicer and more relaxing experience than treated like cattles being very slowly herded around and packed in cramped quarters for feeding. But maybe some people are used to being treated that way.
Pros: A couple of decent dishes, but I can make that at home
Cons: Extremely crowded, noisy, long wait.

Bummer! We tried the The Inn based on a strong and glowing recommendation - the quality of food was poor, I would not recommend - sorry!

Sunday brunch at The Inn is fantastic - fresh, delicious, and inventive. The pancakes, waffles, and omelettes will make you forget about close quarters, a long wait, and harried waitstaff. Stay away the rest of the week when it reverts to its normal poorly prepared diner menu.
Pros: Inexpensive, Great Brunch
Cons: Close Quarters, Busy Staff, Long Wait

The breakfast is the best I have ever had in a resturant. Everything is great and homemade. They even have real maple syrup,(for a price) to go with their outstanding pancakes. Crowded on the weekends.

This restaurant gives new meaning to close quarters! Yes, some of the menu items are interesting on laminated plastic, but the food tends to disappoint-especially when handed from a snippy server and eaten literally within inches of another table's guests. Eat here if you have no need for privacy or quiet in your mornings.
Cons: way too crowded, way too crowded, way too crowded

If you like Eggs Benedict then you'll love The Inn! Great service, great atmosphere, great food. Worth the wait in line as far as I'm concerned!
Pros: EGGS BENEDICT
