Bad food, terrible service
by InternationalFoodie
I just came from getting takeout there for the first time. Not only is their food substandard, but the service was horrible. There was just one other person in the restaurant when I was there. With only one other person in the restaurant, I can't believe how rudely I was treated being rushed when I ordered, paid and when the food was given to me. I had a noodle dish with chicken and spring rolls. The chicken was miniscule, I thought that it was chunks of tofu because the pieces were cut so small. The spring rolls were also tiny being wrapper and not much else. The flavor was bland. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee which the server told me would have condensened milk (as it should), but it was a simple iced coffee. I have another dish which I have yet to try but am reluctant to because of my bad experience with the other food. Being Asian and working close by I thought that this would have been a regular stop for me for lunch. I was wrong. Sometimes bad service can be overlooked for good food but with terrible service AND food, forget it.
- Pros: none
- Cons: food, service

Hidden Gem
by rubyport
This place was recommended to me by a close friend who has traveled extensively in China, Mongolia and Vietnam - so she surely does know something about Asian food - and she was not exaggerating in her praise. The food was marvelous - spicy, flavorful and plentiful. Nothing fancy inside, just great food and great local characters. It was well worth the long drive for this meal.
who are these people?

i read the other reviews and decided to give this place a try. who are these people? they apparently don't know what good asian food is about. it's a complete hole in the wall that serves extremely bad food. i'd really starve or got to some random chinese take out. it's not authentic at all. you would get better food make yourself ramen noodles and call it a day!
A Beacon of Light on the Cleveland food scene
by sassy_goose
This truly is a jewel of a restaurant. If you want ambience this is not the place, but if you want good food I would highly recommend it. The food is absolutely delicious. Although I can't remember the names of the dishes, we asked for a recommendation from the waitress. She recommended dishes based on our preference for spicy and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is small, so go early.
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: Parking, No credit cards

Food was excellent and came out spicy just as ordered. Did not have to add salt or hot sauce to spice it up. Just very good.

A combination plate of Cambodian classics, Vietnamese ingredients and Thai spices.

The Scene
So ordinary on the outside that it blends, as if camouflaged, into this West Side strip of car lots and corner markets, Phnom Penh draws in-the-know devotees from across Ohio. Call ahead: Reservations here are a weekend's most impossible dream.
The Food
For once, a high-concept restaurant delivers more than it promises. Phnom Penh tosses beef, chicken and seafood into an exotic spice pot of turmeric and galanga root, and the resulting flavors are unique. Cambodian crepes are filled with shrimp and pork, and the broad potato noodles could make a star out of the most pedestrian marinara.
