Favorite happy hour
by jbm10 at Citysearch
This is my favorite place in Cleveland for happy hour. You get $3 tall mugs of their own beer and their apps are half price. Two people can share the chicken fingers.
Dinner on the other hand can be quite pricey and the food isn't always the best. I came here for Cleveland Restaurant Week and I was disappointed. The food wasn't that good and it would have been cheaper to just order off the menu. But, that's why I only go for happy hour now.
- Pros: great happy hour menu
- Cons: pricey for dinner
It puts a smile on my face

The first time i have ever gone to Cleveland Chop house, i was skeptical as i can never seem to find that "perfect steak". i ordered the filet, with the wild turkey wiskey sauce, med rare. WOW. i took one bite and i couldnt help but smile. Others have tried to get me to go to other places, mortons, jonnies etc, but i cant. if im going downtown for a steak, im going to the cleveland chop house. Nothing can compare.
- Pros: everything.
- Cons: they wont deliver. hahahaha
Not worth the money
by lovemesomegrub at Citysearch
For a place that is all about their overpriced steaks, both my date and I were extrememly dissapointed at the meal quality. We both ordered two steaks and they were awful. They were extremly dry and hard to eat. They had no flavor at all. The only upside to this place is the atmosphere.
- Pros: nice area of town, nice atmosphere
- Cons: bad food, very expensive
Excellent Sunday Brunch Service
by ClevelandLady at Citysearch
I made reservations originally for 4 people for a Sunday brunch. The host on the phone was friendly. I called back a week later to enlarge the party to 7. The host wasn't sure if we could be comfortably accommodated and called me back immediately after speaking with a manager. I appreciated her taking the time to do that. Overall, the Sunday brunch buffet was great. Plenty of options to choose from but not too many that the quality of food suffered. Our group had no complaints. Our server was friendly, efficient and very accommodating.
- Pros: Great service, good brunch options
Great happy hour specials
by vintheland at Citysearch
I was happy with my experience. Went for dinner but it turned out to be happy hour so we sat at the bar for the specials. I'm surprised it wasn't crowded because all the appetizers were half off. Great food. Plenty to share. Martini's were $5 and VERY good. I will definitely be returning.
Outstanding Restaurant in Cleveland
by gmills at Citysearch
Ladies and gentlemen this is by far one of the best restaurants in our fair city. My wife and I along with another couple had a tremendous meal last week. One of those meals that you want to take a long walk after. say like to the Indiana state line and back. The strip steak was tender and flavorful. The tuna chop was as good as pier 66 in San Fran. Do yourself a favor and partake in the appetizer sampler. The menu says it feeds four. More like 6. Try the Keylime as a freshing finish. The new 180 bottle wine list is easily one of the best in the area and the brews are better then Greatlakes. The ice bar is cool. Service is friendly, efficient and engaging. In today's competive restaurant market one really needs to seek some value. The Chophouse provides just that with large portions and generious drinks. The music is awesome.
- Pros: The food is great
- Cons: the dining in the middle area is a little loud
Not at all worth the price.

My husband and I went to the Cleveland Chophouse for my birthday on a friday night. He had shrimp cocktail and I had the spinach and artichoke appetizer. The spinach and artichoke was terrible. It was very bland and served with pillow like bread triangles. For dinner my husband ordered the peppercorn steak and I ordered the shrimp scampi. Both of our meals were just mediocre. Service was very good though and the cornbread was delicious. The bill came to $75 before the tip and that's with no drinks. I won't go back to the Chophouse again.
A sheer sense of beef exuberance, to the tune of Glenn Miller.

The Scene
Comfortably stuck in the past (National Air Races posters and faded photos of Cleveland Indians dot the dining room), the ChopHouse's 1940s ambience is so complete you'll be wondering if you're doing enough for the war effort. The swinging sounds of Glenn Miller bounce off the brick walls, tall glasses of the house microbrews foam and everyone fondly flirts with the bartenders.
The Food
Start with the grilled portabello mushroom appetizer, a dish that can cure even the greatest depression. As for the main attraction, the most extravagant feature of the steaks and chops are their size. In addition to steaks, choose from salmon, lobster, lamb, shrimp or tuna. The accoutrements include chunky mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and generous dinner salads. More casual fare includes burgers and salads. Accompany any meal with one of the brewery's handcrafted beers.
Excellent food and service!

Had reservations for 8 and only 3 showed thus greatly reducing the waiters tip, he remained professional and accommadating. We all ordered steak and lobster tail, the food was superb and we are planning to return soon! Yes we left a large tip.
- Pros: atmosphere, great food, good parking
Best of the Warehouse District

I had a great meal and a great experience at the Cleveland Chophouse. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Try their microbrews, they are excellent and the bar has an ice rail which was "cool".
- Pros: Food, Staff
