The Scene
Occupying what was once a Trio's pizzeria, Java Zone gives this old neighborhood a jolt of baba ghanough and caffeine. The colorful decor is coffee-appropriate and the place is always an oasis of friendliness and great service. In the warmer months you can take your Italian sodas and ice cream to the patio and watch the SUVs go by.

The Goods
Imagine a beanery that caters not only to the caffeinated but to those seeking delightful sustenance. Now stop imagining and get your tushy to the Java Zone, where you'll find not only lattes, steamers and depth charges (coffee with a shot of espresso), but some mad food to back up the beverages. Vegetarians will be delighted with the falafel and perfect hummus; there's great fresh food for carnivores, too, including chicken, salmon and lamb, served alone or with pasta. Sandwiches can be filled with turkey, chicken, corned beef, lamb, lox or tuna, and a selection of salads will satisfy the lettuce lovers.
