Great experience (even for a guy), super haircut and great service

Okay, so it isn't the most macho thing for a guy to have a great experience at the salon, but with my wedding upcoming, I decided it's time for someone other than Phil down at the local shop to cut my hair. I will be a regular customer at this place, however. Everyone was very friendly and unpretentious. A bit of scalp and neck massage, a great haircut, hair washed twice (so you don't get hair all down the back of your neck), and a hot towel on your face. Hell, who wouldn't enjoy that? If you dig comfort and can stand the ribbing that you might take at the office, gym, barracks or whatever, you should check this place out. I once paid $75 for a haircut in DC, for which I received a cup of tea, and a "haircut" by a snobby, heroin-chic stylist that looked like she used garden shears. Here I got a haircut that was exactly what I wanted and all the extras mentioned above for half that.

Good cut but lousy attitude

I have been to Laura Lee Salon twice and got a good cut both times; however the stylist that cut my hair on both occasions had a very negative, immature attitude. She barely spoke to me except to ask what I wanted done to my hair. The rest of the time she spoke to the stylist next to her, mainly discussing her drunken capers and making sarcastic comments. Both instances were so awkward all I could think about is how much I wanted to get out of the salon. Because I like the cut I received, and the salon is in a convenient location, I'm going back again but will try a different stylist. However, if this appointment doesn't go well, it will be my last visit.

Favorite Salon in Northeast Ohio

I have been going to the Laura Lee Salon in Coventry for over 6 years now. They have become like family to me, my husband, both of my daughters and my son-in-law. They handled my daughters wedding this past summer and were fabulous. I have never enjoyed a salon experience as much as I do at Laura Lee's. It is always a relaxing, fun and unpretentious experience. I would and do recommend this salon to anyone male or female, young or old.

horrific

Although this salon exhibits an intimate atmosphere and alluring interior, the service here was absolutely awful. The highlight of my experience was the five minute hand massage I received while the stylist was ravaged my hair. My hair came out damaged and sadly nothing like the picture I brought with me for the stylist to work from. To top off this disappointment I was charged 174 dollars for my highlights upon leaving the salon when they had clearly stated that a highlight would only be 90 when I called and asked the price beforehand. They claimed that I had a "special" highlight, hence the hundred dollar price hike. Terrible service, unrewarding results, damaged hair, and 200 dollars lost in all.....
