User Reviews for Wish

I've lived in the Warehouse District for a little over two years, and after visiting almost every bar/restaurant in the area, I would rank Wish at the bottom. I recently stopped in (a Saturday night in Feb.) only because of some on-the-street advertising of drink specials and new management. The bar had a very dark vibe going on with a really diverse and seemingly unfriendly crowd. The upstairs and downstairs areas were roped off, and access was only available to the main bar and DJ floor. The drinks were cheap, and rightfully so as the two shots and vodka/sodas we had were very diluted. In describing the crowd, I'd say it was more to the trashy side with no real "crowd" type present. This should not be a top singles bar for 2005 - I have not met anyone who goes or likes it, I would avoid it.

Pros: Drink Specials Prices

Cons: Quality of Drink Spec, Uncomforable Crowd, Not popular

The goth edge is gone, and the crowds almost are too. A shame, because the atmosphere was once unique, and the music once innovative. But now that times have changed I recommend you making "fleeting wish" and wish yourself someplace else. the last time I was here the only patrons that were left had horrible attitudes as well. I had a martini spilled on me and not even one apology.

Pros: dark ambience, good martinis

Cons: shrinking crowds, music quality diminsh

Trendy after work hours joint, much better than the young crowd from the flats and is nicely located in a developing area of the city. With jazz, comedy, dance, and great food within walking distance.

Pros: nice location, some good 80's music

Cons: music can be lame

This multilevel club emits a shadowy vibe from its mysterious location in the Warehouse District.  See the full editorial review.
